Early Saturday morning fire crews responded to a 911 call for a fire pit in a yard that started mulch and trees on fire. Brush units arrived to find the home owner had knocked down the flames with a garden hose.

Home owner reports that they had enjoyed a fire earlier and had put the fire pit out with a garden hose. A while later the rubber mulch around the pit in that part of the yard had caught fire.

Fire consumed a small area of yard landscaped with rubber mulch, trees and plants. Rubber mulch and trees were doused until cool. Wind was also played a factor.
