The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snow accumulation on December 4, 2013. As a result, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing today.
Here is the plowing schedule for December 4th in the City of Watertown:
8 am – plowing at the Lake
9 am – emergency snow routes
10 am – South of Hwy 212
1 pm – Highways 212, 81 and 20 – upon completion of plowing highways, streets will be plowed.
In the City of Watertown, streets are plowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while avenues are plowed on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Emergency snow routes are subject to plowing any day of the week.
Parking on streets or snow routes when they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days). Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city streets If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
Watertown City Ordinance prohibits residents from blowing snow into the street or avenue from a driveway or sidewalk.
