Watertown Fire Department responded with Brush 1, Brush 3 and Tender 1 to the field at the intersection of 17th St SE and 20th Ave SE for a small grass fire (approx 1/2 acre per owner).

It is believed to have started from the tractor mower hitting a rock in the field causing a spark in which the newly cut grass was ignited.

Units used 2 tanks (600 gallons) of water to extinguish the fire. No value of the damage was available. No injuries occurred.
