On June 8th, 2016, The Watertown Police Department and South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation executed a search warrant for illegal drugs in the 700 block of 4th St NE, Watertown, SD.

As a result of the search warrant, over 500 tablets of MDMA or “Ecstasy” were seized. The estimated street value of the Ecstasy is over $10,000. The suspect was identified as Mr. Julian Oliger of Watertown, SD. Oliger is currently on Parole with South Dakota Department of Correction.

Oliger was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Ingestion of a Controlled Substance.

Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute is a Class 4 Felony which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment in the State Penitentiary and a $20,000 fine. Ingestion of a Controlled Substance is a Class 5 Felony which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years imprisonment in the State Penitentiary and a $10,000 fine.

Oliger is being held at the Codington County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash only bond.
