The east side of 10th Avenue NE where it intersects US Hwy 81 will be closed April 4 due to the start of construction to widen Highway 81 (Fourth Street NE). North-south traffic on Hwy 81 will be reduced to two lanes from Ninth Avenue North to 11th Avenue North during construction, which will eventually widen Highway 81 from Third Avenue North to 18th Avenue North. The west side of the 10th Avenue / Highway 81 intersection will remain open during this opening phase of road work. Reede Construction of Aberdeen is doing the work. The contractor will hold a public meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6 in the community room at the police station.
