[ARCHIVED] Burglary-UPDATE-Arrest Made

On February 5th, 2016, an arrest was made for the burglary of Lunker’s Restaurant that occurred on 2/2/2016.

Mr. Trevor Heintzman, DOB 7/31/86, of Watertown, SD was arrested for 3rd Degree Burglary and Petty Theft. Heintzman is being held at the Codington County Detention Center on a $500 cash/surety bond.

3rd Degree Burglary is a Class 5 Felony which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years imprisonment in State Penitentiary and/or a $10,000 fine. Petty Theft is a Class 1 misdemeanor which carries a maximum penalty of 1 year in County Jail and/or a $2,000 fine.


On February 2nd, 2016, at approximately 5 AM, the Watertown Police Department responded to a burglary alarm at Lunker’s Restaurant, 100 N. Lake Dr. Officers arrived on scene to discover someone had forced entry into the building. No suspects were on scene.

After the initial investigation, it was discovered an undisclosed amount of cash and property was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
