[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Plan for January 25th & 26th, 2016

The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snow accumulation on January 25th, 2016. As a result, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing today.

On Monday, January 25th, 2016 the Watertown Street Department will be plowing highways 212, 81 and 20 followed by emergency snow routes.

On Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 beginning at 3 am, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing the Uptown business district followed by avenues.

Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).

Please assist us by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed.

Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.

There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.
