[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Plan for December 28th & 29th, 2015

On Monday, December 28th, 2105 beginning at 3:00 am, the Watertown Street Department will plow the uptown business district followed by streets.

On Tuesday, December 29th, 2015, the Watertown Street Department will plow avenues.

Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

The entire Uptown area to include Streets and Avenues is cleaned at the same time we receive 2” of snow or more. This area is well signed and vehicles in this area are subject to immediate ticketing and towing.

Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).

Please assist us by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed.

Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.

There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.

The Watertown Street and Police Department appreciate the cooperation and understanding of residents in removing cars to provide for effective snow removal on City Streets.
