[ARCHIVED] WFR responds to Carbon Monoxide detector and fluid spill

WFR responded to a call from a resident who came home from work and found that their carbon monoxide alarm was activated. WFR personnel entered residence with a multi-gas monitor and found that there were dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the entire home. Home owner was advised to call a furnace repair specialist to find the exact source of the CO. WFR would like to see CO detectors in all homes and insure that they are in working order as the weather gets colder and the furnaces work harder to warm our homes.
WFR personnel responded to a 2 vehicle accident with fluid spill on Harmony Lane. A vehicle was northbound on Harmony and struck a parked car. Both vehicles received significant damage. There were no injuries reported. WFR Crews cleaned up all oils and debris with the assistance of a local wrecker service and WPD. WFR would like to remind everyone to use caution on roads that are snow packed and slippery.
