WFR responded to a grass fire on Sioux Conifer Rd around the 3500 block on March 9th, 2024. A fire had spread from some cattails that were being burned off and began heading in a south-east direction towards another home site and pole shed. WFR responded with two Brush units and a water tender. WFR crews were able to extinguish the fire before it got into a nearby grove of bushes and before reaching any buildings. Crews were on scene for about a half an hour mopping up hot spots. WFR would like to remind everyone that there are active red flag warnings and to use caution when burning.
