On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at approximately 3:08 p.m., the Watertown Police Department and
Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision near the intersection of U.S. Highway 20 and 451st Avenue. Watertown Fire Rescue responded to the crash scene with two
ambulances and one engine.
A 14-year-old male from Watertown was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 20 in a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2018 Toyota Camry
driven by a 73-year-old male from Watertown.The juvenile driver was evaluated at the scene by Watertown Fire Rescue and was released to his parents with minor injuries. The 73-year-old driver sustained multiple non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. A 70-year-old female passenger in the Toyota Camry sustained life-threatening injuries and was also transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
