Weather permitting, a private developer will begin demolition work near the former City Hall building starting on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. This privately led construction project is expected to continue through February 2027.
During this time, the north half of 2nd Street NE, between Kemp Avenue and 1st Avenue N, will experience extended long-term closures throughout the project. Motorists should observe all traffic control signs. Adjacent businesses will remain accessible at all times.
