Starting Wednesday morning, October 1, 2025, the City of Watertown Public Works Department will begin repair work at the intersection of Highway 212 and 6th Street East.
The project includes removing and replacing a damaged manhole frame and cover, along with a roughly 12-foot square section of concrete roadway. To complete this work safely, the northernmost lane of Highway 212—from and including the 6th Street East intersection up to but not including the 7th Street East intersection—will be closed. Traffic control and lane closures are expected to remain in place for up to nine days, through October 10.
Residents and businesses in the area will remain accessible, but the intersection of Highway 212 and 6th Street East will not be open to traffic. Drivers are asked to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and follow all traffic control signage.
