A brand new single track trail is giving Watertown residents a new way to enjoy the outdoors.
The new trail loops for about a mile through the wooded “Crazy Hills” area between Lions Park and Bramble Park. It’s a natural-surface path—just wide enough for one person or cyclist at a time—that winds through trees, hills, and open space. Unlike wider or paved trails, this single track trail is designed to offer a more immersive and low-impact experience for walkers, runners, and bikers.
This trail was intentionally designed to complement and enhance the area’s existing multi-use features, including the Bramble Links Disc Golf Course and Lions Park’s fishing pond. For years, this section of Lions Park was underused and at times associated with undesirable activity. The trail brings life into that space, encouraging residents to use it.
Just off the trail, visitors can still enjoy everything else Lions Park has to offer. There’s a stocked pond with two large fishing piers, a modern playground added last year, and the enclosed Foley Shelter with room for gatherings. Together, these features make Lions Park a more active, welcoming place—and the new trail ties it all together.
