[ARCHIVED] Storm Damage Clean-up - 8.06.25

Watertown saw storm damage last night. City crews are focused on clearing downed boulevard trees from streets and cleaning debris off stormwater inlets. That work will take time across the whole city.

Residents can help by clearing leaves or branches off the storm drains near their homes. Keeping the tops of those grates clear helps prevent flooding during the next rain.

Tree waste can be dropped off for free at the Watertown Regional Landfill now through Wednesday, August 13. The landfill is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and located at 45605 175th Street. Bring proof of residency—like a utility bill, license, or mail with a Watertown address. The 4th Avenue drop-off site will not be open.

Please avoid storm-damaged areas and give crews room to work. Thanks for your patience as we work to clean-up our community.
