[ARCHIVED] WFR responds to business fire

Business Fire

At 7:15 PM on August 5th, 2025, Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to investigate reports of smoke coming from a business located at 424 19th Street SW. Upon arrival, first responders discovered moderate smoke coming from an unattached structure adjacent to a large manufacturing building. This structure contained an exhaust and debris collection system for the business. Fire crews deployed an attack line to extinguish the smoldering debris and opened an access cover to address any lingering fire inside the collection system. They also checked for any fire extension into the nearby building and found no signs of fire spreading. Crews remained on the scene for approximately one hour. Watertown Fire Rescue received assistance on-site from the Watertown Police Department.
