[ARCHIVED] Crack & Chip Seal Project to Begin on July 8

Weather permitting, Asphalt Preservation Company will begin work on the 2025 Crack Sealing & Seal Coating Project on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The work is scheduled to be completed by September 12, 2025, pending any unforeseen issues.

The 2025 Crack Sealing & Seal Coating Project scope includes the crack sealing and seal coating of multiple roads, parking lots, bike trails, and airport runway. This project will take place in various locations throughout the City of Watertown. The Downtown work on Kemp Ave and 1st Ave S will take place between the hours of 10pm and 6am. All vehicles will have to be removed from these roads at night when no parking signs are posted. More information will be released when exact dates are known.

As with any road construction project, motorists should exercise caution and observe all traffic control devices and flaggers in and around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. Motorists are asked not to park on the street in work areas.

If you have any questions, please contact the City of Watertown Engineering Division of the Public Works Department at (605) 882-6202.
