Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to a crash involving a pickup truck that lost control and struck the side of a bridge on northbound I-29.
Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle with front-end damage, a coolant leak on the roadway, and minimal debris. Medics assessed one patient at the scene and transported them to Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown for further care.
Also responding to the incident were the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a Codington County Sheriff’s Deputy, and Performance Towing.
Watertown Fire Rescue reminds drivers to stay alert and use caution, especially near bridges and high-traffic areas.
