Weather permitting, the City of Watertown Public Works Department will begin work on the 2025 Parks and Recreation Improvements-Bike Trail Overlay on Monday, May 19, 2025. The work is scheduled to be completed by May 30, 2025, pending any unforeseen issues.
The 2025 Parks and Recreation Improvements-Bike Trail Overlay project scope includes a 2” asphalt overlay on the existing bike trail and full depth replacement in areas. This project goes from Willow Creek Drive to 14th Avenue NE.
This bike trail will be CLOSED to the general public for the duration of this project.
As with any road construction project, motorists should exercise caution and observe all traffic control devices and flaggers in and around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. Motorists are asked not to park on the street in work areas. Pedestrians are asked not to use this trail during construction.
