On May 7th, 2025 at 10:20am, Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to the intersection of 449th Ave and 167th St northwest of Watertown, SD for a car versus tractor incident. A tractor pulling a planter and a car collided in the intersection causing the car to flip onto its roof. The driver of the car was able to self extricate prior to WFR arrival. One person was treated and released at the scene. The driver of the tractor was not injured during the incident.
