The City of Watertown is offering free self-haul access to the Watertown Regional Landfill from April 21 through May 3, providing residents an opportunity to dispose of eligible materials before the road resurfacing project begins on 175th St., which will impact landfill access in early May.
Watertown residents must present a current utility bill for verification upon entry (commercial waste and vehicles with commercial plates are not eligible).
Free Dumping at the Landfill:
‣ Dates: Monday, April 21 – Saturday, May 3
‣Landfill Hours: Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (No loads accepted after 4 p.m.)
‣ Accepted Items: Garbage, trees, yard waste, electronic waste, appliances and cardboard.

- Despite this being a free disposal event, loads must still be covered & secured until weigh-in; unsecured loads will be charged the unsecured load fee of $60.00/ton, subject to the minimum charge of $20.00.
- Must sort loads into the disposal sites as they are unloaded (Garbage, trees, e-waste, appliances, yard waste, and cardboard). Tip: Separating these items as you load makes unloading much easier.
