WFR responded to an accident involving 2 Semi tractors and trailers. Early this afternoon, WFR was dispatched to a vehicle accident involving 2 semi's near the intersection of 175th St. and Hwy 81 south. Both Fire and EMS responded to the scene to find one semi truck in the ditch with heavy front end damage and one truck blocking Hwy 81 completely with heavy front end damage as well. 2 Patients were assessed with one being taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital for further evaluation. There was a large debris field as well as a truck blocking the highway causing traffic to be rerouted both north and south of the scene. Cause is still under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
