Shortly after 7:00pm on Monday, March 31st WFR responded to the report of a grass fire in the ditch of I-29. Brush 2 and 3 responded from WFR. Upon arriving on scene several spot fires were found just north and south of the north bound on ramp of mile marker 177. All of these spot fires were within a quarter mile of each other. All of the spot fires were quickly extinguished and no others were found from mile marker 177 to the mile marker 180 off ramp. WFR was on scene for about 15 minutes and was assisted by the Codington County Sherriff's Department.
