On Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at approximately 2:38 AM, the Watertown Police Department and Watertown Fire Rescue responded to the 600 block of Broadway St S. for the report of a female that had sustained a head injury.
Upon arrival officers made contact with a 20-year-old female and a 27-year-old male, both of Watertown. The female was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Officers learned that the male and female were involved in a vehicle crash that had not been reported.
During the investigation it was learned that the 20-year-old female and 27-year-old male were passengers in a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 29-year-old Justin Seurer of Watertown. At approximately 2:20 AM the Grand Prix was southbound in the 10 block of 1 st ST SW when it collided with a 2003 Buick Century that was legally parked on the side of the roadway. This crash caused the Buick Century to collide with a 1995 Ford Van that was parked in front of it. The Grand Prix then fled from the accident scene.
Justin was located this afternoon and arrested without incident. Justin was charged with Felony Hit and Run-Injury Accident and Fail to Use Seat Belt in Front Seat. Bond was set at $5,000.00 cash. The Grand Prix sustained approximately $8,000 in damage. The Buick sustained approximately $6,000 in damage. The Ford sustained approximately $800.00 in damage. Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
