Just before 10pm on March 16th, Watertown Fire Rescue responded to the scene of a reported pick-up that had crashed into Culvers. Battalion 1 and Engine 1 responded to the scene. It was found that a blue Ford F150 had driven through the front glass walls near the main entrance to Culvers. The vehicle just missed the column that was supporting the wall and overhang. It appeared all damage was to the framing and glass for the wall. None of the involved parties in the vehicle or restaurant required medical attention. It was determined that no further action was required to structurally shore up the building. Battalion 1 and Engine 1 were on scene for less than 15 minutes and were assisted by the Watertown Police Department and South Dakota Highway Patrol.
