Weather permitting, starting tomorrow, March 11, the SD Department of Transportation will have a lane closure on both HWY 20 and Sioux Conifer Rd for DOT Bridge Work. One lane shall be closed at a time, allowing vehicle passage on the open lane. The lane closure is scheduled to be completed by May 16th, 2025, pending any unforeseen issues.
The DOT bridge work scope includes maintenance work on HWY 20 bridge NE of Lake Kampeska, as well as maintenance work north of city limits on Sioux Conifer Rd bridge.
As with any road construction project, motorists should exercise caution and observe all traffic control devices and flaggers in and around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. Motorists are asked not to park on the street in work areas.
