PSA: Updates from the Solid Waste Division
Collection Updates & Landfill Closures
- Christmas Week:
- The Landfill will be close on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at Noon.
- The Watertown Regional Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
- Waste and recycling normally collected on Wednesday will be collected on Friday, Dec. 27.
- New Year’s Day:
- The Watertown Regional Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1.
- Waste and recycling normally collected on Wednesday will be collected on Friday, Jan. 3.
Christmas Waste Collection
Residents can use green yard waste containers for extra holiday waste during the weeks of December 23 and December 30, 2024.
- Place containers curbside with blue garbage containers by 5:00 AM on your collection day.
- Ensure all waste is inside the container and not overfilled.
Christmas Tree Collection
The Solid Waste Division will collect real Christmas trees on your regular collection day for two weeks after Christmas.
- Trees must be natural, unbagged, and free of decorations.
- Artificial trees will not be collected.
