4th Ave SW Yard Waste Drop-Off Site Closing for the Season

The City of Watertown announces the seasonal closure of the 4th Avenue Southwest Yard Waste Drop-Off Site. The site will remain open during its normal hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, November 26, and Wednesday, Nov. 27, with Wednesday marking the final day of operation for the year. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this service to dispose of leaves, grass clippings, garden vegetation, bushes, and branches free of charge. Tree limbs up to six inches in diameter and six feet in length are also accepted. All yard waste must be emptied from containers or bags into the dumpsters provided.

For two weeks following the closure of the 4th Avenue site, the Watertown Regional Landfill will continue to accept yard waste and branches at no charge to residents through Saturday, December 14. The Landfill operates Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yard waste loads must be properly secured and contain only grass clippings, leaves, and garden vegetation, while branches should be placed separately in the wood pile. Proof of residency, such as a current residential utility bill, is required for no-charge disposal.
