On Friday, November 8, 2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a garage on fire at 415 8th St NW in Watertown, SD. The fire started in a detached garage. Crews forced entry into the garage to suppress the fire. Crews made quick work of the fire but remained on scene for about two hours making sure the fire was out completely. The fire was contained to the garage and no nearby structures were threatened. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
