At approximately 5:35 am on July 8th, 2025, WFR ambulance was dispatched for a male on fire near the intersection of 4th Ave NW and 1st Street NW. Engine four, Battalion one, and Medic two responded to the scene. Upon arrival, a male was found with extensive burns to his entire body. Law Enforcement officers were on scene prior to WFR arrival. WFR transported the patient to PLH with life threatening injuries. WFR was on scene for approximately four minutes and was assisted by Codington County Sheriff's Office and Watertown Police Department.
