Description:
Watertown Fire Rescue and Lake Area Tech have entered into a mutual agreement to begin the process of creating a local training center in the City of Watertown. The benefits of this project include providing a local training facility for local first responders to train in a realistic environment. The more realistic a training opportunity is the more likely a first responder is to safely operate in and possibly survive a life-threatening environment. This realistic training also benefits the students of the LATI Med/Fire Rescue program. It would allow them the opportunity to train in the same manner as professional firefighters. The citizens of the area would also benefit by this facility.
