Sewer Usage Fees and Wastewater Charges

Residential Sewer User Charge

The regular residential sewer user charge for each household or living unit shall be $32.30 per month.

Commercial Sewer User Charge

The regular commercial sewer user charge, except for those customers classified as significant industrial users under city ordinance, shall be $32.30 per month for up to 300 cubic feet of sewage discharge. Plus, an additional charge of $3.12 per 100 cubic feet shall be made on sewage discharge in excess of the first 300 cubic feet per month.

Commercial sewer customers shall be subject to a surcharge in addition to the regular charge based upon the strength of the effluent discharged into the wastewater system to be computed using actual flow monitoring in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Any excess over 200 mg/l of B.O.D. shall be charged the rate of $0.35 per pound.
  • Any excess over 250 mg/l of T.S.S. shall be charged the rate of $0.27 per pound.
  • Any excess over 20 mg/l of NH3 shall be charged the rate of $1.30 per pound.

Industrial Sewer User Charge

The regular charge for commercial sewer customers that are classified as significant industrial users under city ordinance shall be $85.30 per month for up to 700 cubic feet of sewage discharge. Plus, an additional charge of $6.10 per 100 cubic feet shall be made on sewage discharge in excess of the first 700 cubic feet per month.

Industrial sewer customers shall be subject to a surcharge in addition to the regular charge based upon the strength of the effluent discharged into the wastewater system to be computed using actual flow monitoring in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Any excess over 200 mg/l of B.O.D. shall be charged the rate of $ 0.35 per pound.
  • Any excess over 250 mg/l of T.S.S. shall be charged the rate of $ 0.27 per pound.
  • Any excess over 20 mg/l of NH3 shall be charged the rate of $ 1.30 per pound.

Tapping Charges

Cost of fitting plus $ 100 labor.

Sewer Jet/Cleaning Charges

The charge for the use of the jetting / cleaning truck will be $ 225 per hour for labor and equipment.  The time begins when the equipment leaves the wastewater treatment facility.  The time ends when the equipment arrives back at the facility.

Televising Charges

The charge for the use of the sewer televising equipment will be $ 225 per hour for labor and equipment.

The Wastewater Department will televise all new sewers once before acceptance of construction without charge.  If defects are found necessitating more televising, the extra work will be charged at $ 225 per hour.  The time begins when the equipment leaves the wastewater treatment facility.  The time ends when the equipment arrives back at the facility.
