Multiple Vehicle and Residential Burglaries

Between September 5, 2017 and October 2, 2017, the Watertown Police Department has taken multiple reports of vehicle and residential burglaries. These burglaries have taken place in various locations of the city and Lake Kampeska.

Most of these burglaries involve vehicles and residences that were not locked. There have been numerous items taken such as TV’s, gaming systems, wallets, handgun and cash. In some cases, there were windows broken on vehicles to gain access to the visible items of value.

The Watertown Police Department is asking for assistance from the community and a reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).

The Watertown Police Department would like to offer these tips:
  • Lock your cars, garage doors and residences.
  • If you feel you need to leave items of value in your vehicle please take all precautions  to hide these items out of plain site.
  • If you observe suspicious activity, do not approach the individual (s) and contact the Watertown Police Department.
  • If you see suspicious activity, make observations (clothing description, vehicle, etc) from a safe location.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       If you have any information, please call the Watertown Police Department at 605-882-6210.
