WFR performs high angle rope rescue from inside a water tower

WFR was called to the water tower at 300 14 St SE at 5 pm for a worker who fell inside the tower. The worker was found to be on a floor approximately 70 feet above the ground where he had fallen an estimated 30 feet off a ladder going to the top of the water tower. The pt. was immobilized in a rescue harness on a back board and lowered to the ground by WFR high angle rope rescue team. The pt. was in serious condition with multiple traumatic injuries. He was taken to PLH and then later flown out to Sioux Falls. Crews were on scene for 2hrs and 45 minutes.
