29th Street SE Reconstruction Project to Begin

Reconstruction on 29th Street SE from Hwy 212 to just south of 13th Avenue South will begin on Monday, August 7th, 2017.

The reconstruction project consists of removing the existing asphalt and base, adding additional base and placing a new concrete surface. The schedule completion date for the project is October 10th, 2017.

In order to maintain access to all local businesses, the Contractor plans on constructing the project in 4 phases. Phase 1 reconstruction, which begins on Monday, will close the south bound lanes on 29th Street East from SD Hwy 212 to just south of the north Walmart entrance. The north bound lanes will then be converted to 2-way traffic. Please reduce speed thru the construction zone and if alternate routes are available for you to reach your destination, please consider using them.

If you have questions about the project please contact the Engineering Department at City Hall.
